- 4 cups apples, sliced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 cup maple syrup or agave
- 3 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 13×9 baking dish.
Place apple slices in a medium bowl and drizzle with lemon juice and maple syrup.
Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
Add oil and vanilla stir until combined. Stir in apple mixture.
Spread batter in prepared dish.
Bake for 60 minutes or until golden.
Cut and serve warm.
