I am often asked, “If I can’t have dairy anymore where will I get calcium?”

Here is a list of Calcium Sources and the amount of calcium available.

Calcium is best absorbed with a low phosphorus content, so while dairy may be high in calcium it is not well absorbed because of the high phosphorus content. This is why we see the rate of osteoporosis increasing in countries that use more dairy and eat less green leafy vegetables.
